Following the numerous major flooding events that have occurred across Japan this year, we have received a large number of enquiries regarding pre-export inspections of flood-damaged vehicles.
Please note that, as a general rule, vehicles with a history of flood damage are not eligible for inspection, regardless of their destination.
As it can be difficult to determine whether a vehicle has been flood-damaged by visual inspection alone, we recommend obtaining and checking the auction sheet whenever there is any suspicion that a vehicle may have been flood-damaged.
